OUI/DWI:
An OUI/DWI can happen to anyone! The impact of a conviction can be severe. You may be facing large fines, jail time, driver's license suspension, and increased insurance rates. We will fight for your innocence, or when appropriate, work to minimize the impact of the charges.

 

Attorney Andrade has extensive experience in OUI related offenses. Her experience as a prosecutor in Essex County provides clients with a unique understanding of the strategies prosecutors will employ for conviction of OUI charges.  Her familiarity with the prosecution’s techniques will go a long way in the preparation of your defense strategy.  She also understands how variables such as the time of day, a person's demeanor, or driving conditions can all affect a reasonable doubt standard, and she prepares your defense with these factors in mind.

As a prosecutor, Attorney Andrade was selected for a trial rotation at Newburyport District Court.  Her rotation focused on the prosecution of OUI related offense.  In addition, Attorney Andrade has attended several week long trial advocacy courses including: “Prosecuting The Impaired Driver”, and “Trial Advocacy I.  She was also selected to attend “Advanced Evidence Skills” a two day training sponsored by Suffolk Law School in order to better prepare Massachusetts Defense Attorneys and Prosecutors for criminal law motions.

JUVENILE LAW

Juvenile court rules and laws are vastly different from those that apply in district court, and you want an advocate that is familiar with the process in order to best protect your child's rights.  Attorney Andrade was an assigned juvenile prosecutor in the Lawrence Juvenile Court, and handled all aspects of juvenile prosecution. While in juvenile court Attorney Andrade was the lead prosecutor on cases involving attempted murder, armed robbery, as well as several serious breaking & entering cases. Attorney Andrade recognizes a criminal record may affect the ability for children to obtain employment, rent an apartment, or get student loans for college. We will fight to prevent this from happening.
